MUFO 2022: Exploring the Future of Art

Experience the unparalleled fusion of art and technology at the inaugural edition of MUFO: The Museum of the Future, held in 2022 at the iconic Antiguo Hotel Reforma in Mexico City. This groundbreaking event brought together renowned artists and cutting-edge technology to create a multi-sensory journey that redefines the concept of a museum.

In 2022, MUFO transformed two entire floors of the historic hotel into a futuristic playground. Visitors were invited to explore four themed rooms, each offering a unique blend of contemporary art, immersive installations, and digital experiences. Highlights included mesmerizing LED sculptures and NFTs that connected through a central garden with a restaurant serving a specially crafted menu, creating a seamless experience of light, sound, and interaction.

Among the featured artists, the innovative studio Ouchhh stood out with their groundbreaking immersive installation that challenged traditional perceptions and invited visitors to see the world through new, digitally enhanced lenses. Their work was complemented by Antoni Arola’s “Perceptions” and the Russian collective Tundra, each bringing their unique vision to the futuristic space.

MUFO 2022 was not just a visual feast but a full sensory delight. The event featured a concept store by Can Can Press, offering unique art pieces for visitors to take home, and a curated mixology and gastronomic experience that reflected the futuristic themes of the installations. MUFO became the first and most important space presenting new media art in Latin America.
