Puebla Sensorial

Puebla Sensorial was an immersive performance where the past and present met in a shared rhythm. Presented in the Zócalo of Puebla in 2019, the show fused music, dance, and technology in a spectacle that reinterpreted history through light and sound.

With music composed by Alyosha Barreiro and guest musicians, the soundscape was created using pre-Hispanic instruments, evoking the ancestral rhythms of Mesoamerica. Accompanied by a troupe of pre-Hispanic dancers, the sounds took shape through movement, connecting the audience to a collective memory rooted in the earth.

The scenography and visual design introduced a striking contrast: lighting, lasers, and cutting-edge technology transformed the colonial setting, creating a dialogue between tradition and innovation. History unfolded in light and shadow, in ancient echoes that resonated powerfully within a contemporary environment.

More than a performance, Puebla Sensorial was a bridge between eras, a meeting point between the ancestral and the technological, an invitation to rediscover our roots through the senses.
